Nordfjord Havn IKS coordinates vessel calls and facilitates maritime traffic in the respective ports. It operates a 24-hour on-call service, ensuring that vessels can contact the port for assistance at any time.<\/p>

Nordfjord Havn IKS manages and operates the entire infrastructure in the respective ports and is also responsible for maintaining statistics on cargo volumes and the flow of goods across the quays in Nordfjord. M\u00e5l\u00f8y<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

At the outermost part of Nordfjord lies the port of M\u00e5l\u00f8y, recognised as Norway\u2019s fourth largest fishing port. In 2016, 210,000 tonnes of fish were landed in M\u00e5l\u00f8y. The port reflects a long tradition in fishing, and many companies in M\u00e5l\u00f8y operate within the maritime and marine sectors. A large share of port calls in M\u00e5l\u00f8y consists of fishing and cargo vessels.<\/p>

Nordfjord Havn IKS is a member of M\u00e5l\u00f8y Maritime Group, an association of 17 companies operating within the maritime industry, including supplier companies providing a wide range of services to the fishing fleet.<\/p>

Since the introduction of cruise calls in 2022, M\u00e5l\u00f8y has also established itself as an attractive destination for cruise traffic. Today, the port welcomes over 155,000 cruise passengers annually, contributing to increased activity, value creation, and development in the local community.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

Innerst i Nordfjord ligger Stryn kommune og cruisehavnen OldenLoen. OldenLoen is Norway\u2019s seventh largest cruise destination in Norway with approx. 150 calls by cruise ships from around the world each year. In 2017 360,000 people visited Nordfjord from a cruise ship that was docked in Olden or Loen.<\/p>

New for the year 2017 was the opening of the tender quay in Loen, right below the reception area of Loen Skylift.<\/p>

In 2026, approximately 20 smaller cruise calls will utilize the tender quay.<\/p>

Gloppen is a municipality with significant agricultural activity, and much of the maritime activity is therefore related to the supply of animal feed to local farmers. Other industries also generate port activity, including the shipment of stone from local quarries and exports from the timber industry in the area.
